"Yuba River Rapids" is an original gouache, which is an opaque form of watercolor. The 5 x 7 inch image is painted on 100% cotton paper, has a 9 x 12 inch white mat, and framed in a 9 x 12 inch narrow black frame, wired, ready to hang.

Jane is a plein air painter and gets her inspiration from painting outdoors, setting her easel up on location.

This painting was inspired by a trip when Jane got to stay at a cabin with some painting friends up by Rainbow Lodge on the Yuba River for a few days. It is wonderful to hear the rush of the water coming over the big boulders and feel the breeze it creates.
